This volume of 31 poems was written as reflections on and considerations of Stoic philosophy. The spirit of this book is that of reference and encouragement. At the rate of a haiku a day, it was written while reading from the discourses of Epictetus, the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius, the letters and On Anger by Seneca, the philosophy of Chrysippus, as well as analyses of these and a few other works. Each poem is a compilation of 7 haikus covering one topic collectively.
Gunther is a human spending each day trying to be a better person than the day before. He does everything in his power to be a benefit to those around him - both familiar and otherwise - with the hope that he fills his role in life staying in agreement with cosmic nature. He’s married to best person he could be married to - Dorothy - and lives in a little home in Lakewood, WA with two black cats - Cygnus and Sagittarius - named after black holes because of course they are.
