My name is Nereida, I began writing poetry in 4th grade after a poetry teacher came into my school and showed me that poetry could be used to release hidden emotions and feelings we often keep inside. Through the years poetry has become a way for me to share parts of me that need to find the light. I aim to inspire others the way my teacher did, so I may help show that vulnerability through writing and poetry is a beautiful gift for ourselves and the world.
